The final round of season 2011 saw Para Hills East host local rivals, Ingle Farm.

The C's were looking for a win whilst hopeful of a West Beach win over Fulham, to take the out the Championship. The boys did their bit by winning comfortabley 3-0 & West Beach almost did the East a favour by leading 2-0 where they also missed a penalty but Fulham equalised with 5 minutes to go to earn the draw that they needed to take out the title. East played well & should have won by more but they still got the 3 points. They went 1-0 up in the fist half courtesy of a quality Ryan Mogg goal & Farm held out until halftime. The 2nd half saw East score to quick goals with one to Scott Gentle & the other to Daniel Sribar. The boys found out about Fulham's result 5 minutes after the final whistle. The East boys can keep the heads held high after a great season in which they only lost the title by goal difference.

The Reserves played out a fantastic 3-3 draw that had almost everything. Both sides had very strong line ups with 1st team quality players but it was the East that started the stronger of the two sides & created a couple of half chances early on. Farm started to get into their stride after about 15 minutes but were restricted to shots from distance. East took the lead after 31 minutes when Daniel Falzon let fly on the volley from 20 yards which nestled into the opposite corner of the goal. Farm imposed themselves on the game in the 2nd half & scored two quick goals, one was courtesy of a mistake by Shannon Baxter when he fumbled an easy shot into the path of the on-rushing striker who slotted nicely. Ryan Astley scored arguably the goal of the season when on the byline, he scissor kicked the ball back across goal, only for the ball to loop over the keeper & into the back of the net, certainly one for the collection for Ryan. Farm then took the lead shortly after only for Daniel Falzon to equalise with a nice shot after Daniel Sribar crossed to Falzon at the back post. The game was fantastic to watch & ceratinly noone deserved to lose. Well done to the Ressie boys on a good season which did promise more but that's football & we look forward to next season! Also, Russell Pomery who took a sickening clash to the back from Shannon Baxter & hit the ground hard, returned from hospital with no serious damage but for slight concussion.

The 1st Team were looking to get a result against an in form Farm side in Coach Ryan Mogg's last game in charge, it wasn't meant to be as the East succumbed to a 2nd half onslaught by losing 5-1. The game started brightly for the East as they kept Farm firmly on the back foot & East took the lead in the 16th minute. A deep free kick was taken by Adam Rattley & it was flicked on at the near post to Adam Dunt who in turn flicked it over to Alex Brigden who tapped in at the back post. Farm were largely restricted to long balls forward & it was from this that they equalised when the striker got the ball & he was about 25 yards out & on an angle but he hit it low at the near post & Clinton Pearce was taken by surprise as he dived late & palmed the ball in. The 2nd half was all Farm possesion wise & in the 55th minute, they took the lead. Farm got a free kick on the edge of the area & they scored when hit nicely over the wall & over Pearce. 4 minutes later & it was 3-1 when Pearce made a howler in goal when a soft shot low on the ground went underneath his hand. Pearce was subbed after this for Dave Whitaker much to Pearce's obvious dis-pleasure. Dave did well though with a couple of saves but was largely at fault for the last of the final 2 goals that farm scored. Farm went 4-1 up in the 75th minute when a cross out wide to the back post was met with a thumping header. The final goal came in the 85th minute when Rattley conceded possesion out wide & the Farm player crossed & Whitaker came, missed & the Farm striker scored from 8 yards. It was a harsh end to the season for the East boys when they certainly didn't deserve to lose 5-1 but these things can happen in football & hopefully the boys can learn from their experiences of this season & take it going into next year under new 1st Team coach, Dave Beaman who was appointed earlier in the week, congratulations to Dave.

The +35's lost to a youthful & 2nd in the table, Elizabeth Vale 3-0 at home. The +35's have relinquished their title that they have held for the past 2 years, unlucky boys & hopefully you can bounce back next year & re-claim the title.

In the penultimate round of the season, Para Hills East were away to Elizabeth Downs.

With the C Team hot on the heels of Fulham in top spot, the boys put in a great performance to win 4-0. The win keeps the East in hope of clinching the League Title right up to the last game of the year. Paul Astley scored the first for East before Daniel Blacklock scored another 2 goals to keep his impressive form on the go. Ryan Astley, playing for the C's due to work commitments, also got on the score sheet late in the game courtesy of a wicked deflection. All in all, it was a good performance from the boys & hopefully if they get the win against Ingle Farm next week & Fulham lose to West Beach, the East will be back to back C Team champions.

The Reserves were up against a Downs side that started the season slowly but have got themselves above our East boys. Looking to turn around the late winner the Downs earned in the reverse fixture, the East started the game brightly & certainly kept the home team pegged in their own half. It wasn't long before East had the lead after some great work by Russell Pomery forced the error & he slotted home. Towards the end of the 2nd half, Downs got themselves level from a completely nothing situation, the Downs forward ran onto a lofted ball forward but was forced out wide, he took a touch, looked up & from what looked like a cross he was aiming for, looped the ball over Shannon Baxter in goals. The 2nd half was a tight affair which could have gone either way but the game was played in great spirits & a draw was a fair result.

The 1st Team were looking for 1 more point to secure their Division 1 status for next season & they earned it with a come from behind 2-2 draw. The game itself was a hard fought encounter with some truly cracking goals. It was after only 7 minutes that the Downs took the lead when they earned a free kick just outside the box & they laid it off to Nathan Day who hit an absolute belter high into the back of the net. You may have expected East to drop their heads but they didn't & played some good football. The game changed in the 27th minute when Scott Morrison for the Downs was shown a straight red card for his wild 2 footed scissor tackle on Jarrad Noel, Jarrad escaped any serious injury except for a very sore upper thigh. The Downs increased their lead in the 39th minute when a long throw into the box was met with a huge error in judgement from Clinton Pearce as he came & was never going to make it, the ball subsequently went over his head & the Downs forward had an easy headed tap in. 2 minutes later though & the East pulled a goal back, Adam Dunt was up for a corner & he headed a back post ball towards goal that was superbly saved but the ball fell back to Dunty, with still some work to do, as he placed a header into the top corner. The 2nd half could easily have gone either way in a truly fantastic game from both sides. East levelled though in the 68th minute in spectacular fashion, David Swift was moved from defence to the midfield after the East lost Andy Saggs to a Hamstring injury late in the first half & he rewarded the midfield berth by streaming forward where he received the ball about 30 yards out & unleashed a thunderbolt which nestled into the top corner, Petr Cech himself would have struggled to save it & he ran over to the jubilant East bench where he was mobbed by all. East probably shaded the best chances to take all 3 points from the game but a draw noone was something noone would complain about. So a draw it was & the boys relief was there for all to see, knowing that our survival was safe. Well done boys, 1 more game to go where we have local rivals, Ingle Farm at home & then it's party time!!!!!!

The +35's ran out comfortable winners 5-0 against a pretty poor Athelstone side, well done boys.

Round 16 brought us up against last season's rivals, Elizabeth Grove at home.

The C's got the day off to a great start by running out convincing winners, 5-0. Most of the damage was done in the first half with Michael Krollig in superb form. Krollig scored 4 for the day & the other goal was finished nicely by Jordan Ward who kept up his fine goal scoring form from the last couple of weeks. The boys continue to keep the pressure on Fulham at the top of the table & remain only 2 points behind with 2 games to go.

The Reserves had a bit more of a tougher game than the C Team but still ran out comfortable winners, 4-2. The boys were never really tested against a Grove side lacking any real quality but still managed to gift them 2 sloppy goals, something that has cost the boys dearly this year. Ryan Astley got on the score sheet as did Daniel Falzon but it was Michael Krollig who bagged another 2 goals which took his tally for the day to 6, a great effort from Krollig. The boys are looking to finish off the season well which promised so much at the start of the year in the remaining 2 games to hopefully jump up the table a couple of spots.

The 1st Team had a retched day at the office as they were beaten 4-0 in a game where they controlled the majority of the ball. East started the game well & had Grove on the back foot until a mistake from our backline gifted a chance to Grove's striker & Jimmy Jackson tried to get in a tackle but only succeded in giving away a deserved penalty which Grove converted. To their credit, the boys kept pushing the ball around & keeping Grove in their own half & Derek Simpson should have equalised after 10 minutes only to see his thunder bolt unbelievably saved from the keeper. 3 minutes later & Grove were 2-0 up after a break caught East out down the left & the Grove midfielder put a great ball over to the back post where the penalty scorer was on hand to smash home on the volley. The 2nd half was very much the same, East controlled the game & Grove played on the counter & to their credit, scored another 2 goals. One from a decent shot which took the East keeper, Clinton Pearce, by suprise as it flew into the top corner in the 64th minute & the last goal came in the 93rd minute when Grove broke through to be one on one with Pearce where the Grove player cooly rounded the keeper to slot home. The result was rather harsh on Para Hills East but Grove did their job to perfection & scored the goals. East now head to powerhouse, Elizabeth Downs looking to get a result.

The +35's game ended in a 2-0 result after Modbury Vista forfeited.

Para Hills East were at home for Round 15 against title challenger, Pontian Eagles. In poor weather conditions on the Saturday & into Sunday morning, several games had to be cancelled which included, both womens teams, the +35's & the Reserves. The only games that managed to go ahead were the C's & the 1st Team.

The C's ran out comfortable winners 9-1 in conditions that suited mud wrestlers more than it did soccer players. One end of the pitch was alot better than the other but it still wasn't good & both sets of players should be praised for trying to play football. There were 2 hatricks with 1 going to Ryan Mogg & the other to Daniel Blacklock with singles a piece to Daniel Sribar, Paul Astley & Jordan Ward. Well done boys!!

The bottom pitch was saved from any action until the 1st Team kicked off which certainly helped both sides. The game itself was played in great spirits considering the conditions & Pontian got the vital 3pts to keep there championship aspirations alive with a 2-1 win. Within 15 minutes, one end of the pitch was starting to cut up & get quite boggy with all the rain that was had in the past 24 hours which made the game a bit of a scrap. Both sides continued to push the ball around the best they could. Pontian took the lead in the 24th minute after a rather speculative shot which seemed to go in slow motion over the top of Clinton Pearce, hit the under side of the cross bar & went in. East continued to push in the final 3rd but couldn't quite find the final pass. Aaron Smith was working hard up front & the ever-present Jarrad Noel was everywhere in midfield. Pontian were lucky not to have a man sent off after halftime when a lunging 2 footed tackle on Noel went by with only a free kick & no card at all. In the 54th minute, East were level,  after Smith played a lovely through ball to Chris Miller who ran onto goal & shot past the keeper only for the ball to hit the up right but thankfully it rebounded to Graham Cook who tapped in under pressure from the Pontian defender. The game could have gone either way after that with both sides having chances but right at the death, again, in the 89th minute, Pontian scored the winner. After consecutive corners, Pontian tapped in from close range after a goal mouth scramble, all be it with huge protestations from players, fans & the bench about Pearce being held by the arm which everyone could see but the people that matter. It was a cruel end to a game which no side deserved to win but Pontian snatched it at the death like they did in the reverse fixture earlier in the season. Next the East have a weekend off & then it's at home again to Elizabeth Grove.
